RBTF has just announced via Vivacité (a segment of the their TV program, Le 8/9) that Jérémie Makiese will be flying the Belgian flag at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022.
Who is Jérémie Makiese?
Jérémie Makiese is the winner of Season 9 of The Voice Belgique, the Belgian edition of The Voice franchise. Jérémie joins the list of Belgian Eurovision entrants who have previously competed in The Voice Belgique. Other Belgian Eurovision entrants who are alumni of The Voice Belgique include Loïc Nottet (who finished 2nd in The Voice Belgique Season 3 and represented Belgium at Eurovision 2015), Blanche (who participated in The Voice Belgique’s Season 5 and represented Belgium at Eurovision 2016) and Eliot (who participated in The Voice Belgique’s Season 7 and represented Belgium at Eurovision 2019).
Earlier this year, he already expressed his interest in representing Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 and we’re glad to know that he has been given the chance to do just that!
